Here at Arabesque , we feel there is a need for talented children to reach their full potential, both academically and vocationally. Equal importance is placed on both. The performing Arts industry is a tough one and it is important that the children are prepared to face all eventualities. It is very important that the students have a good academic education behind them, as well as being trained to the highest standard for the industry.
The school has an exceptional atmosphere created by the staff and students alike. The school is very small and informal with a relaxed family like atmosphere where everyone is important. Our excellent teacher/pupil ratio means that we can give each individual child the attention they deserve, so that they can achieve their best in all subjects.
Our examination results are exceptional with all students gaining GCSE’s A to C in all core subjects. Examinations are also taken in vocational subjects with the majority of students gaining A grades.
Students are encouraged to work in the profession whilst at school. Current and Past students credits include Karen Davidson in Billy Elliott, ensemble in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the West End and touring productions and Louise in Tracy Beaker on the BBC. Many children are also involved in productions at the Chichester Festival Theatre.
On graduating student have gone on to such colleges as Laban, Liverpool institute of Performing Arts, Body Works, Italia Conti Theatre Academy, Laine Theatre Arts, Doreen Bird and Performers College.
